MichaelOlivier.co.za Review: Farm Stall to Farm Stall

Farm Stall to Farm Stall, Jennifer Stern
Posted August 20th, 2014 by Michael Olivier
When we go on a road trip, we take our MapStudio road maps with us – even if it is just a couple of hours drive, just in case we miss something.
The other day in a moment of temporary grass widowerhood, I thought I would go and have a look at a farm stall or market close by and pick up a bite to eat. There was no way I could find out when the markets were open.

The next day MapStudio kindly dropped off Farm Stall to Farm Stall by Jennifer Stern, Stern travelled 13,000 kilometres researching this book, drinking coffee, trying the food, buying the produce and giving a personal account of her experiences from farm stall to farm stall – over 150 in all.
Very cleverly annotated with a series of easily understandable icons, even GPS, you will know what to expect at every single one and be able to arrive during opening hours.
It is a lovely mix of busy design, much like you’d find on farm stall shelves, a riot of colour.
It is the sort of book you want to have on your coffee table to look at frequently and then always, but always take with you in the car – like your MapStudio road maps.
