Lisa Mc Namara is the publisher of Child magazine, which she launched in 2004 as a practical guide for parents of children from birth to 13 years old. The magazine has grown into the trustworthy title parents rely on today, not just for its insightful articles about health and education issues, but also because it’s a handy resource for parents looking for family-friendly things to do in their city.

Lisa is the busy parent of two children, but she loves nothing more than to get out and about with her family, finding new entertaining places that broaden their idea of the world.

Now, her vision of making parenting easier and a lot more fun has been extended to an audience beyond her magazine readership with the publication of a city-based travel guide, Family Fun. This book gives parents fantastic ideas to explore their city with children, whether they find themselves in Cape Town, Durban, Joburg or Pretoria.
