Road Maps
Map Studio has been mapping South Africa's roads since 1958. This is the working range — national atlases, single-sheet road maps, regional touring maps and pocket maps, all researched and drawn by our own cartographers and revised edition by edition as roads, names and boundaries change.
Which format you want depends on how you travel.
Atlases. The Road Atlas South Africa at R195 and the more compact Glovebox Road Atlas at R145 cover the whole country page by page with a place-name index — the format to reach for when you need to look a town up by name.
Single-sheet road maps at R210. South Africa including Lesotho and Eswatini, and Southern Africa. A folded sheet shows the whole journey at once in a way an atlas page cannot, which is what makes it the better planning tool.
Regional maps at R210 cover the parts of the country people actually tour: the Western Cape; the Garden Route and Route 62; Mpumalanga, the Kruger National Park and the Panorama Route; Cape Town and surrounds; and the Flower Route, West Coast and Namaqualand.
Adventure Road Maps at R250 cover the countries beyond our borders — Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique and Lesotho.
Pocket maps and Visitor's Guides from R120 are the ones that live in a door pocket or a jacket.
A paper map does not go flat, lose signal in the Karoo or need a data bundle. For maps to hang rather than fold, see the wall map range.
